You can achieve high web rankings in your niche markets. Adhere to search engine guidelines to deliver targeted traffic to your site. Don’t use tricks that can get your site banned from the search engines.  And don’t chase the latest short-cuts.  Just dig in and provide your prospects with the information they are searching for.  Study your competition to understand how your web site fits in search engine rankings  … and where the potential is to rise to the top in your category.  It takes lots of hard work and research to target traffic with solid content.  But it pays off with increased long-term traffic …. targeted traffic.  Begin by dominating your niche market with multiple keyword combinations and long-tail-keywords.

SEO View of Latest Google Update

All the talk in the past few days about the powerful “correction” Google has just made has brought me out of my temporary hibernation.

The latest change in the Google algorithm (Panda) is being called the Farmer update and it’s major.  Major as in it has a lot of folks in a tizzy.  It is said to have had major affects on 12% of search results and has plummeted many websites traffic visitor numbers in half.

Web Content is King – Still

Before you can tell your story,  folks have to find your story.”

Hi, yarby here.  Earlier this week I read an SEO blog that proclaimed “Content is King no more” and a few lines down “Content is the OLD King”.  Don’t buy it!

I thought this would be a good place to begin our SEO Saturday series.  Even today, could anything be more core to SEO than content?

The article went on to focus on their #1 priority for SEO – the importance of backlinks. And while they are indeed important to search engines, they will NOT replace good solid content. Search Engines deliver information people are searching for online. Always have; always will!
