Twitter Promo Intro – Social Media Promotion

A Twitter Promo Intro goes way beyond Tweeting.  Social Media Promotion at it’s best!

 

How would you like a boost of Social Media Promotion?  Twitter Promo Intro posts have made their way to my blog, Media Marketing Strategy!

Reading a Twitter Promo Intro helps people determine Tweeps to follow. It can help grow your Twitter followers base and gives your business a major boost in visibility and reach. Like all well-planned Social Media Promotion and Networking it grows. It gives my followers … and their followers great resources to RT and share as well. Twitter Promo Intro tweets have proven to be win-win-win!

 

Why?

The Media Mix is all about Spreading the Word on good resources and Helping Your Business Shine with SEO, Web Design and Social Media Promotion.  It’s what I do; it’s who I am. 

 

How?

When I hear about a good resource, I visit a contacts Twitter Profile and see if I can piece together 128 characters of good promotional copy.  If I don’t find what I think will make a good resource for my followers,  I make a visit to their website or blog and piece all of that together.  Is there any better exercise in editing than Tweeting?

 

That said, I’ve decided it’s time to move this Social Media Promotion project to my blog.  Let’s make these Twitter Promo Intro posts more interactive. 

 

Here’s the plan for Twitter Promo Intro – Social Media Promotion:

 

  • Write a Twitter Promo Intro edited to 128 characters.  Must begin with (dot) .@user name so that your Twitter followers and mine will receive the Intro Tweet in their Twitter stream.
     
  • Visit my Blog, Media Marketing Strategy – Inside The Media Mix

  • Add your Twitter Promo Intro to Blog Comments.
     
  • The Media Mix will post them on Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook throughout the day.  So will many of my blog visitors.
     
  • I’ll Reply to your comment with the Tweet.  You get a double dose of Social Media Promotion plus keyword rich SEO link juice! 

 

How does it help your SEO?

You may include your keyword phrase (up to 3 words) after your name in Author.  I have KeywordLuv installed on my blog so it links back to your URL.  Example:  Linda Yarbrough@Media Marketing Strategy

 

Another bonus?  CommentLuv is also installed on my blog which will automatically show your last blog post with a link.

      Yes, Rob. Speaking of KeywordLuv, you are limited to a 3 keyword phrase like TwelveTwoDesign or Design that Sells (no caps, please) but I left it this time so that you can see what it looks like.

      After your comment just Skip down and begin:
      .@twelvetwodesign ___
      Good idea to try it in Twitter first to make sure it fits with your ID. Be sure to make it 128 characters or less because that gives us room to add: Follow @twelvetwodesign or whatever. Sometime I put: I follow ___ and at end Do you?

      Yes that’s what I mean if you will begin with .@ so both our followers will receive them in their streams. If it goes according to plan my visitors will Tweet about each other also using these pre-made, easy to use Social Media Promotion Twitter+ Promo Intros.

      You can also use KeywordLuv with your keyword phrases after your “name” as well as fill in your Twitter ID at bottom of comments.

      P.S. A real (or full name) will come in real handy if you want visitors to feel you are authentic.

    As “Chris Brogan” will tell you …

    We’re so inundated with information coming at us from every direction, “people can barely read a Tweet” these days.

    So knowing how to craft a really good, concise, bird’s eye (pardon the pun) view of who you are, what you do, and who you serve is a valuable (and hopefully, lucrative) exercise. :)

    And you know what?

    I like this idea MUCH better than doing those tired old Follow Friday shout outs.

    Some of my peeps still include me in their #FF Tweets and that’s very sweet of them. But I don’t think people pay any attention to them anymore. They’re just plain stale.

    This sounds like a great idea! Do you have a program that is tweeting these out for you or are you manually tweeting everything for everyone? I’d think it’d get very time consuming to do it manually!

    I have no clue really what to write for my intro but I’ll try! hehe

      Yes, I am tweeting Promo Intros to my followers … and I’m hoping my visitors will pick some in related categories to tweet as well.

      When I’m tweeting a lot of Promo Intros, I put them in BufferApp or Hootsuite to schedule them out evenly throughout the day and mix ‘em up with other resources.

      It’s always easier to promote each other than to promote ourselves. This helps people decide who to follow and can become viral – RT to your followers and some of your followers will follow back or RT also .. and on it goes!
